The best Christmas gift so far

Will said the pens were the best gift ever. He has played with them constantly. Anybody that knows Will knows how much he loves cows and horses. The pens were just the icing on the cake.

The weed eater

Brett got the weed eater. Both boys were outside in the 40 mph winds blowing leaves and weed eating.

My lovely SIL got Will a leaf blower. It is way cute and way loud. That of course is why she bought it.

Are you ready for

Christmas? We had better be because we start ours this Saturday. I kinda like it this way bc the boys have time to play with the new toys before they get hit with a whole new set. Clay and family will arrive Friday so that he can hunt or should I say scare the birds. It is a joke around our house that the pheasant that he kills just die from laughing so hard bc he is not the most accurate hunter. A pitcher either but that story is only relived everytime we get together.

Tournament is over

We are so glad the tournament is over. The boys are actually getting to stay home and play with their own toys.

Funny things kids say

Brett was telling us about burying Sandee's cat and how Trent and him got to bury it bc they were the big kids. I said did you cry, no and then he went on to tell us if the animal is hard, it is really dead. I rolled so hard and he got mad bc he was serious. I said I understood but the way he told it was hilarious. BTW- something is always getting buried at the babysitters. She always has some animal there for rhem to play with. There was a turtle for awhile.

Are you ready???

Are you ready for Christmas? We still have lots to do but after this weekend we should be on the down hill slide. We are in charge of the hospitality room this weekend for our big tournament. They are expecting about a 100 people. Hope everyone is enjoying this nice weather. Snow is expected here next week. My brother will have alot of fun hunting in the snow.

We had too much fun decorating today. Can you tell we believe in our blue and gold swifts? They fight over the NICKY hat as they call it. Nicky plays for the swifts and is a distant relative.

Another Monday

Here we go having another Monday. We got a lot of new recipes from the food show over the weekend. I can't wait to try some of them.

We saw these 2 mule deer Saturday when we were going between our 2 farms. We were about 75 yds away and they just let Steve snap as many pictures as he wanted.

balloon festival

We went to the balloon festival in Palo Duro Canyon early Sunday morning. Our camera doesn't do night pictures very well but you can see how close we got to the balloons. They didn't get to lift off bc of wind but it was still a real neat experience.

Soccer-ugh!!!!

Soccer brings out the best in him. He was sick and tired of it by noon on Saturday and swore he was never playing again. Luckily the last game is Saturday.

Better update

I figured it was time to post something. We had Monday off so we got lots of errands done but no extra naps. This week has been so busy and it doesn't look like it is going to slow down anytime soon. Today we have soccer practice and I have to work the ballgame. We also have to check on switching internet providers but they are feeding us supper so at least I don't have to cook. Ballgames will consume most of the weekend but the boys are staying with Nana Saturday so we can go to a fund raiser. They are excited.

Gathering pumpkins

We celebrated Steve's birthday by going to the pumpkin patch. Brett was on a mission to find the perfect pumpkin. We found about 6 that were the perfect one.

Brett recently competed in the tri state fair. He won best of show with his banana bread. He also got 2 other firsts and 2 seconds.

We started soccer and we are 1-2. Every little boy loves this game. You can kick all day long and never get in trouble. Brett and another kid took an opposing player out Saturday. He thought that was way cool.
